Trial delayed in Wichita home invasion robbery and kidnapping

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A man who was one of five people arrested in a 2025 home invasion that led to a standoff has had his trial delayed.

George Bos was scheduled to go on trial this week on charges of:

  • Two counts of aggravated robbery
  • Two counts of kidnapping
  • One count of aggravated burglary

A jury trial was scheduled to begin Monday. But it has been continued until July 28.

Man dead after drowning in southwest Wichita

The alleged crimes happened at a home near South Ellis and East Gilbert Streets on Jan. 12, 2025.

The victims reported that five people, armed with shotguns and handguns, forced them into a bedroom at gunpoint. The couple were beaten and zip-tied, according to court documents. The woman was eventually able to move to a nearby desk and cut herself free, then ran to a neighbor for help…
