SEPTA Board approves annual service plan, including new bus network initiative

The SEPTA Board approved their annual service plan on Thursday, paving the way for the transit agency’s first-ever comprehensive bus network redesign, previously known as the “Bus Revolution.”

In April 2024, SEPTA unveiled their plan to improve bus service across the Philadelphia area following years of revisions, conversations with thousands of riders and more than 200 community meetings. Named the “Bus Revolution,” the proposal included an increase in bus routes, improved access for riders and a simplified bus network.
