Alzheimer’s Association to Host Dementia Caregiver Symposium in Bear on June 18

Free event will connect Delaware caregivers with experts, resources and practical support strategies

BEAR — The Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Chapter is inviting dementia caregivers from across New Castle County to attend its annual Dementia Caregiver Symposium on June 18 at Christ the Cornerstone Church in Bear.

The free community event is designed to help family caregivers better navigate the challenges of caring for loved ones living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Organizers say the symposium will focus on practical caregiving strategies, disease education, safety planning, emotional support, and access to local resources.

“Caring for a person living with dementia comes with its own distinct challenges and meaningful rewards,” said Erica Holmes, programs manager for the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Chapter. “It’s essential that caregivers have access to practical tools and proven strategies to support them along the way.”…
