N.J. man facing murder charge after woman he strangled dies, investigators say

A Gloucester County man has been charged with murder after a woman he strangled died in the hospital, investigators announced Monday.

Officers from the Franklin Township Police Department responded to an East Avenue home at 6:16 a.m. on June 11 after 71-year-old resident Dennis J. Hall called and reported a 41-year-old woman was not breathing, according to a statement from the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office.

Hall admitted to strangling the victim during the call to emergency services and again to officers when they arrived, the office said. A witness also told police that Hall had woken them up and admitted to strangling the woman…
