The Delaware State Police have arrested a 15-year-old Wilmington resident in connection with an armed robbery that investigators say was arranged through TikTok and resulted in the theft of an electric bicycle.
According to police, the incident occurred on May 29, 2026, at approximately 5 p.m. Troopers responded to the rear of a business in the 3800 block of Kirkwood Highway after receiving a report of an armed robbery.
The investigation determined that the victim had connected with a suspect through the social media platform TikTok. The two agreed to meet on Maryland Avenue in Wilmington and ride their electric bicycles together.
