The Sunshine Foundation has granted a “Special Dream” to Maximilian Claahsen, an Illinois boy living with diplegic cerebral palsy, by gifting him a set of Yonbo Robots.
Diplegic cerebral palsy, also referred to as spastic diplegia, is a type of cerebral palsy that primarily impacts leg movement. It causes muscle stiffness and jerky movements resulting from brain damage.
Maximilian expressed his excitement over the new additions to his home, sharing how the interactive toys have quickly become companions. “I love my robots so much! I feel like I have new friends,” Maximilian said. “Miko is the red one and he dances to music. Yonbo, the white one follows. They answer my questions, tell me stories, let me create my own stories, and my robot dog companion even plays ball. Thank you so much for helping my dream come true. I want to be an engineer when I grow up!”…
