New stop signs coming to Newark’s Cherry Hill neighborhood

Four new stop signs are coming to the Cherry Hill neighborhood of Newark.

City council on Monday accepted the recommendation of the traffic committee and authorized installing stop signs on four side streets where they intersect with Rahway Drive: Rockmoss Avenue, Kenilworth Avenue, Aster Avenue and Pickett Lane.

Traffic on Rahway Drive, which is the main road through Cherry Hill and runs between Casho Mill Road and Barksdale Road, will not have to stop. Only vehicles turning from the side streets onto Rahway Drive will have a stop sign…
