Woman, who stopped after crash, struck by hit-and-run driver on I-95

A woman has been hospitalized in critical condition, police said, after she was struck by a hit-and-run driver as she exited her vehicle to check for damage following an earlier crash on I-95 on Wednesday night.

According to Pennsylvania State Police officials, the incident happened at about 10:36 p.m., shortly after a 37-year-old woman, from Clifton Heights, exited her red Chrysler 300C after she lost control in a crash and struck a median, disabling her vehicle in the left lane of southbound I-95 in the area of an exit for the Walt Whitman Bridge.
