The Wilmington Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of a blaze that began in the kitchen of Nanu’s Hot Chicken in the 400-block of North Union Street.
Firefighters had to tear through metal ductwork to completely put out the fire at about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday. The building also has residences on the second floor.
