Update: August 2026 – 9th Street Development has closed on the former Genesis HealthCare buildings at 101 and 128 E. State Street, and the two properties now have a new name: The Walker.
It was chosen in honor of Genesis co-founder Michael Walker, who has longstanding ties to Kennett Square.
Construction is underway on the more than 180,000-square-foot project, which will bring 60 luxury apartments, street-level retail, and renovated office and medical space to the borough’s busy corridor…
