Anniversary Walk Brings Delawareans Together for Remembrance, Support, and HIV Awareness

AIDS Walk Delaware will mark its 40th anniversary Saturday, Sept. 19, bringing together community members, advocates, service providers, and supporters in Wilmington and Rehoboth Beach.

One of the nation’s longest-running HIV walks, AIDS Walk Delaware has spent four decades raising awareness, fighting stigma, remembering those lost to HIV/AIDS, and supporting people living with and affected by HIV.

This year’s anniversary will recognize the history of Delaware’s response to HIV while highlighting the continued need for prevention, testing, medical care, housing, food assistance, mental health services, education, and efforts to reduce stigma…
