The food hall/delivery company Wonder is closing its Cranford and Fairfield facilities, laying off 533 workers in New Jersey, and consolidating operations at a higher-capacity site in Swedesboro.
The company disclosed the layoffs in a WARN Act notice on Sept. 16 and confirmed them. Layoffs were to begin on Sept. 16 and continue through Jan. 8, 2027. Wonder utilizes the Cranford and Fairfield locations to prepare much of its food, which is then packaged, shipped to stores, and finished to-order by staff.
Eligible employees will receive severance and outplacement services and will be able to apply for other jobs at Wonder, including at the Swedesboro plant, the company said…
