ELKTON — The Cecil County Farm Museum and Regional Agricultural Center has filed suit against Bay Country Associates Inc. and Pennsylvania National Mutual Casualty Insurance Company, seeking $2.25 million in damages for breach of contract, breach of performance bond and unjust enrichment.
The three count suit was filed in Cecil County Circuit Court in May, and a judge recently denied a request for dismissal of the suit by the defendants. The lawyer for the museum, Justin P. Breidenstein, is requesting a jury trial on behalf of his clients.
The suit claims Bay Country Associates violated the terms of the contract to build a 24-by-42-foot building on the property that the museum rents from Cecil County Public Schools at 820 Appleton Road in Elkton.
