PENNSYLVANIA (WHP) — A former immigration officer from Pennsylvania was sentenced Thursday to a year and one day in prison after he took a bribe to help an individual remove “terrorist” from his immigration file.
The United States Attorney’s Office said Amara Dukuly, 44, of Woodlyn, used his status between 2015 and 2025 to solicit bribes in exchange with the promise that he’d help them with their immigration status.
Dukuly received a $6,000 bribe in April 2025, and promised that after removing “terrorist” references, his file would be “clean.”…
