Chesco Inspectors Flag Smoke Damage, School Kitchen Problems

WEST CHESTER, PA — Chester County health inspectors cited smoke-related cleaning needs at a Malvern-area Indian restaurant and sanitation and equipment issues at a West Chester elementary school during food-facility inspections conducted Oct. 5.

Cross Roads (An Indian Eatery), 615 N. Morehall Road, Unit 100, Malvern, was inspected as part of an emergency response. Inspectors directed the restaurant to discard open boxes of paper goods, takeout containers stored on a kitchen shelf and open bags of takeout containers.

The Chester County Health Department also required cleaning of overhead shelving, walls throughout the facility, preparation and dishwashing areas, and the hood and filters. The inspection report noted that smoke had filled the space…
