RIDLEY PARK, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — After more than four years, the Sellers Avenue Bridge in Ridley Park, Delaware County, has reopened.
The bridge is only 75 feet long, but it’s a crucial connector in the community, sitting atop train tracks and next to a Regional Rail station.
Helen Reinbrecht with PennDOT said crews found safety concerns on the century-old bridge during an inspection in 2022. At the time, it was estimated that more than 3,400 vehicles used it daily. The closure forced drivers to find alternate routes, congesting other parts of town…
