WILMINGTON MAN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE FELONY INVESTIGATIONS – MARK REYNOLDS (27)

(New Castle, DE 19720) Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police have arrested 27-year-old Mark Reynolds of Wilmington following an investigation into multiple violent felonies. On Monday, September 4, 2023, at 12:06 a.m., patrol officers responded to the Holloway Terrace Parkland – New Castle in reference to conducting a property check. Upon arrival, officers located two subjects inside the parkland after dark. Officers identified one of the subjects as Mark Reynolds. Officers determined that Reynolds was wanted in Delaware for multiple capiases, and they attempted to take him into custody. Reynolds then fled at which time an NCCPD patrol officer and a K9 officer chased after him. An officer attempted to deploy his taser at which time Reynolds removed a handgun from his waistband and pointed the gun toward the officers. Reynolds then threw the gun and continued running towards Interstate 295 and New Castle Avenue. Additional officers arrived and checked the surrounding area however, Reynolds was not located. The discarded firearm was located in the parkland and determined to be a fully loaded 9mm. Officers then authored an arrest warrant for Reynolds charging him with one felony count of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two felony counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, one felony count of carrying a concealed deadly weapon, one felony count of aggravated menacing, and one misdemeanor count of resisting arrest. Reynolds remained wanted for his arrest warrant and capiases and was unable to be located.
