A breakfast food truck, top brunch spot & where to order Cream Puffs made by nuns

Good morning, Delaware food lovers.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, or so they say. A good place to find it is at Joey T’s, a popular breakfast and lunch food truck operated by Joe Thuet, a retired Delaware state trooper. But you should know Thuet has changed locations. The truck used to be parked in Newport, however, as of Tuesday., Jan. 23, Joey T’s has moved to 1805 Newport Gap Pike in the parking lot behind the Prices Corner Shopping Center. It operates from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Here’s a story from 2021.

Frittatas, think of them as a crustless quiche, are a perfect breakfast option to make at home. They’re easier and lighter than quiche and can easily feed several people. My sister first introduced my family to the joys of a good frittata after she spent a couple of semesters studying abroad in Spain. Frittatas made with fresh vegetables and a little meat (usually ham) were frequently served at the home where she was staying. Here’s a good starter guide from Epicurious.com if you’ve never made one before.
