Firefighting is often a family tradition, and the Kirlins of Wilmington are one of the strongest examples of that kind of dedication and service. The City of Wilmington announced on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, that Battalion Chief Dennis Kirlin has officially retired after a 45 year career with the Wilmington Fire Department.
