One big Delaware store closes. Another one arrives.

Fall is a tumultuous time in the retail world, the ramp-up to the shopping-fueled rush of the holiday season, and the beginning and the end of many leases.

And so just as one giant store is set to open in New Castle County, another is leaving soon . Christiana Mall is again home to an Abercrombie & Fitch, with more stores coming in for the season .

Also, multiple Delaware airports are getting a new round of funding , as Delaware’s airspace keeps getting more interesting. The stage is now set for Delaware offshore wind. And Newark is getting a traffic camera to slow everything down.

It’s a tumultuous time in the grocery industry, of course. Traditional supermarkets have been squeezed at both ends of the market, losing share to both premium stores like Whole Foods and Wegmans, and to discount stores like Aldi or Walmart.
