Delaware Symphony Orchestra opens 119th season
Who will be the next music director of Delaware Symphony Orchestra? Listeners might get a sneak peak when DSO opens its 119th season this weekend with a program led by Mélisse Brunet , the first of four music director finalists for the orchestra.
Brunet will lead “Brunet Conducts Tchaikovsky” during the season opener and the first finalist will be joined by violinist Melissa White , performing Florence Price’s Violin Concerto No. 1.
Anna Clyne’s evocative 2015 composition, “This Midnight Hour,” opens the program that culminates with Tchaikovsky’s majestic Symphony No. 5 in E minor, according to press materials.
