Parker enjoys many offensive choices at Winslow Township

WINSLOW — For Winslow Township sophomore quarterback Jalen Parker, there is no such thing as having too many options. The 5-foot-10, 190-pound has so many choices, a true luxury of riches in a high-octane offense.

“I had a lot of weapons last year, but I have more this year,” Parker said.

The soph completed 22 of 29 passes for 292 yards and four touchdowns as Winslow Township, No. 1 in the Courier Post’s South Jersey Mean 15 ranking, defeated No. 6 Camden, 40-6 in a West Jersey Football League interdivisional game.

Winslow Township is now 6-0, while Camden dropped to 4-2.

In Friday’s game, junior Nakeem Powell caught touchdown passes for 21 and 37 yards. Junior Nyqir Helton got the scoring started with a sensational leaping 23-yard touchdown grab in the end zone. The other touchdown pass went to Boston College commit Marcus Upton, who was wide open on a 31-yard reception that ended the scoring.

In addition, Wisconsin commit Cam Miller had four receptions for 88 yards. On the ground, the Eagles had short TD runs from Roman Duckett and KaRon Ali.
