ARLINGTON – Dallas Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush is readying himself for his first NFL start since 2022 and will be tasked with trying to keep this car wreck on the road against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Back in 2022, Rush did a good job of steering the ship in Dak Prescott’s absence, keeping the Ferrari on the road and avoiding crashing it into a ditch. But this time, things are a little different.
He has to get the mangled wreck out of the dirt and back onto the road in an attempt to salvage Dallas’ season.
But Cooper isn’t interested in being the Cowboys’ season-saver by stringing together wins. His only focus is this Sunday against the Eagles … with a six-word mindset … and then let the chips fall where they may.
“We’re just trying to beat Philly,” Rush said. “It’s kind of our approach this week, you got to take them one at a time. It’s a cliche, but it works, and so that’s kind of the goal. You just really take practice by practice, game by game, and we’ll see what happens.”
