$1.4 million bust: Counterfeit Pennsylvania vehicle inspection stickers seized in major sting

Philadelphia U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers recently seized 22,000 counterfeit Pennsylvania vehicle inspection stickers.

They were shipped from Israel to an address in Philadelphia. The fake inspection stickers were assessed at $1,404,700, had they been authentic.

The holiday season seizure is sparking serious questions about vehicle safety and enforcement. The massive counterfeit takedown has the city buzzing.

Thousands of counterfeit stickers circulating in the city. Clearly this is a threat not only to our roads but also to public trust in the system.
