Two people were transported to the hospital Wednesday night after a high-speed crash in Newport. The crash occurred just before 10:45 in front of the Newport Town Hall at 15 N Augustine Street Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene for reports two individuals trapped in the vehicle, but upon arrival, confirmed only one individual required extrication.
