Crackdown on Illegal Street Riders: Wilmington Police Charge Man, Seize Vehicle

WILMINGTON, DE — A 33-year-old man has been charged in connection with the illegal operation of an off-highway vehicle, according to the Wilmington Police Department.

Police responded to the 1200 block of Read Street on March 14 at approximately 1:09 p.m. after receiving reports of an off-highway vehicle being operated unlawfully. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Taliq Foeman, and subsequently seized the vehicle involved. Authorities confirmed that Foeman now faces multiple charges related to the incident.

Officials have reminded residents that operating off-highway vehicles, such as dirt bikes and ATVs, on city streets, sidewalks, or in parks is prohibited under Wilmington City Code and Delaware Criminal Code. Violations can lead to significant fines. Additionally, local laws require that any off-highway vehicles within city limits must be registered with the Division of Motor Vehicles and equipped with an immobilization device, such as a wheel lock, when not in use…
