Police ID New Castle woman killed after man drifts onto Route 1 off-ramp shoulder

Delaware State Police have identified the New Castle woman who was killed on Tuesday after being hit by a pickup truck that veered onto an off-ramp shoulder where her disabled car was located.

Jessica Jordan, 37, and the 39-year-old man she was with were stopped on the shoulder of the Route 1 off-ramp to Route 40 (Pulaski Highway) in Bear about 5 p.m. when the crash occurred, Delaware State Police said. Their car had a broken front left wheel.
