BEAR, DE — Delaware State Police have identified 37-year-old Jessica Jordan of New Castle, Delaware, as the victim in a fatal pedestrian crash that occurred Tuesday evening on a northbound off-ramp from State Route 1 to Pulaski Highway.
The incident unfolded on March 25, 2025, at approximately 5:00 p.m., when a GMC Sierra driven by a 74-year-old man from Bear, Delaware, veered onto the shoulder while navigating a curve. The vehicle first struck the rear of a Mazda CX-9 parked on the shoulder and then hit Jessica Jordan, who had been walking toward the rear of the Mazda.
The same crash also injured a 39-year-old New Castle man who had been attempting to change the tire of a disabled vehicle parked in front of the Mazda. The GMC’s right front struck the man after striking Jordan and the parked vehicles…
