I-476 Construction to Begin, Spanning Montgomery and Delaware Counties

WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced extensive construction activities on I-476 next week as part of a $63.7 million project designed to repair and resurface nearly 17 miles of the interstate from the I-76 interchange in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County, to I-95 in Ridley Township, Delaware County.

Scheduled from Monday, April 7, through Friday, April 11, lane closures will occur nightly between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM on both northbound and southbound I-476, as well as on ramps at the U.S. 30 interchange (Exit 13). Work will include pavement patching, milling, paving, tree clearing, and utility construction. Motorists should anticipate delays and are advised to allow additional travel time. All work is weather dependent.

This comprehensive project encompasses milling and overlaying travel lanes and shoulders, repairing 49 structures, upgrading stormwater management basins, addressing slope stabilization concerns, and replacing various roadside elements in disrepair.
