Wilmington police have charged two men with murder for an August 2023 killing in Brown-Burton Winchester Park, the department said.
On March 31, a New Castle County grand jury indicted Nyzier Cannon-Wilson, 26, and Aaron Watson, 25, on charges in the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Zaahir Thorton. First responders found him just after 6:30 a.m. on Aug. 28, 2023, following a 911 call.
According to first responder radio communications, Thorton was by a swing set in the park. The 911 caller had reported that he had “blood all around his mouth” and was “cold to the touch.”…
