Ideas to reduce traffic congestion on Rt. 272 unveiled in NE workshop

NORTH EAST — The Wilmington Area Planning Council (WILMAPCO) and consulting firm Wallace Montgomery unveiled more than a half-dozen recommendations to reduce traffic congestion and to improve safety on the Route 272 corridor from the Route 274 intersection at Cecil College to Shady Beach Road, south of North East, during an April 29 workshop at the North East Fire Hall.

The well-attended workshop marks Phase 3 of a process to determine which of the presented recommendations the public favors and, to that end, planners encourage residents to participate in a survey that can be accessed at wilmapco.org/272
