On Monday, May 12, 2025, at approximately 3:25 p.m., Officers from the New Castle County Division of Police responded to the area of Stanton Road and Henlopen Avenue in Kiamensi Gardens for a report of a physical altercation involving both juveniles and adults.
Upon arrival, officers learned that a prearranged fight had occurred between two 12-year-old females shortly after they got off a school bus. During the altercation, 22-year-old Mohie Slamaa of Wilmington intervened and struck one of the juveniles. A 15-year-old female bystander tried to step in and break up the fight but was shoved by Slamaa. An 18-year-old male bystander also attempted to intervene and was thrown to the ground, where Slamaa bit and kicked him in the face.
