Two Men Nabbed in Newark Traffic Stop Linked to Cocaine and Heroin Bust

NEWARK, DE — A routine traffic stop in Newark on May 29, 2025, resulted in the arrests of two Wilmington residents for alleged drug-related offenses.

Newark Police reported that the stop occurred at approximately 2:50 p.m., after officers observed motor vehicle violations. The occupants of the vehicle, identified as Luis Francisco Sanchez, 25, and Denny Fajardo Solano, 28, were subsequently detained following an on-scene investigation.

Authorities allege that both Sanchez and Solano were in possession of controlled substances, leading to charges for manufacturing, delivering, and possession with intent to deliver (PWID) cocaine and heroin.
