Free weekend parking in Newark begins this week.
The free parking will run Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 15.
The promotion applies to the city-run lots — Lot 1 behind the Main Street Galleria, Lot 3 behind Caffe Gelato, Lot 4 behind Home Grown Cafe and Lot 6 behind the University of Delaware bookstore — as well as on-street spaces on Main Street and surrounding side streets…
