Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police have charged 34-year-old Santos Aguilar-Aguilar with multiple counts of rape following an investigation that began in June 2024, when Officers responded to a Newark residence after a victim reported that Santos Aguilar-Aguilar, a known acquaintance, had sexually assaulted the victim several years earlier.
Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Unit were notified and took over the investigation. Through their investigation, Detectives discovered that between 2017 and 2019, when the victim was approximately 5 to 7 years old, Santos Aguilar-Aguilar repeatedly raped the victim on multiple occasions police said Friday.
In April 2025, following multiple interviews and the continued collection of evidence, arrest warrants were issued for Santos Aguilar-Aguilar. Detectives made immediate efforts to locate him but were unsuccessful, as it was believed he may have fled the country…
