On June 19th, the Conshohocken Police Department announced that it had arrested three men after allegedly tampering with a mailbox along the 400 block of Fayette Street and then attempting to flee when police attempted to stop them.
According to the press release, police officers observed the three individuals tampering with the mailbox, and a pedestrian who also witnessed the incident confirmed that they had successfully removed mail from the mailbox.
Police attempted to make a traffic stop of the vehicle used by the suspects; however, they fled the scene and entered the riverfront area, crossing the border into Whitemarsh Township. The vehicle became disabled near the Spring Mill Train Station, and the suspects hid along the river’s edge, where they were arrested…
