Police: Man threatened lives of CCSO deputies and district court judge

ELKTON – A man remained jailed Thursday after he allegedly threatened the lives of several Cecil County Sheriff’s Office detectives and a Cecil County District Court judge, according to court records and police.

Investigators identified Daniel Andrew Cebenka Sr., 46, of the unit block of Caprice Court in Elkton, as the suspect. CCSO investigators took Cebenka into custody on Tuesday, after conducting a court-approved search of his residence and obtaining an arrest warrant, reported Lt. Michael Zack, who serves as a CCSO spokesman and is listed in court records as the arresting officer.

“Detectives with the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office have launched a criminal investigation following a series of threatening voicemail messages left for one of their civilian employees.
