ELKTON — A man who gunned down a woman and her boyfriend inside an abandoned house near North East in July 2023 before stealing their cell phones received three consecutive life sentences — plus 35 additional years — on Monday, one day before the second anniversary of the double murder.
The defendant — Richard L. Stone, 46, of Aberdeen — fatally shot Christopher Blaine Thomas, 46, in his chest and Thomas’ cohabiting girlfriend, Ashley Dove Brown, five times on July 1, 2023 inside the bedroom of an abandoned house in the 100 block of Bethel Church Road.
