Delaware State Police have arrested a Pennsylvania man on gun and drug-related charges following an incident at a transit station in Claymont.
According to authorities, on July 20, 2025, at approximately 7:00 p.m., troopers were dispatched to the SEPTA station located at 191 Transit Center Drive after receiving a report of a bus passenger who was unresponsive. Upon arrival, troopers found 43-year-old Andrew Kucharczyk of Linwood, Pennsylvania, asleep in a seat. Officials stated that as troopers approached, they observed a handgun partially visible in the front waistband of his clothing.
Police said that Kucharczyk appeared to be under the influence of narcotics and was taken into custody without incident. A loaded .380 Smith and Wesson handgun, reportedly without a holster, was recovered from his waistband.
