Following a targeted operation by local law enforcement, three men have been arrested in Wilmington in connection with a drug investigation. The Wilmington Police Department confirmed that its Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division, supported by the Crime Gun Intelligence Center and Safe Streets Task Force, conducted a raid on August 6th, leading to these arrests, as reported by Nixle.
The search warrant was executed in the 400 block of North Scott Street around 2:19 p.m., with suspects fleeing by foot before being apprehended after brief chases. Subsequent to the chase, officers uncovered quantities of heroin and marijuana, alongside .223-caliber and 9mm ammunition. Philadelphia resident Robert Shipley III, among the detained, is facing multiple unrelated charges, inclusive of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
Nasir Bailey, the youngest of the trio arrested at 19, faces charges for possession with the intent to deliver and resisting arrest. According to Nixle’s release, Bailey was released on a $4,000 unsecured bail following his arraignment in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas.
