Wilmington Man Arrested After Alleged Burglary Spree Across City

WILMINGTON, DE — Wilmington Police have taken a 44-year-old man into custody in connection with a series of burglary incidents reported in recent weeks across the city.

Authorities say that on August 7, at approximately 11:06 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of West 26th Street for a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, police allege the suspect, identified as Alexis Martinez, fled on foot. After a brief pursuit, officers apprehended him without further incident.
