WILMINGTON, DE — Two people are facing weapons charges after New Castle County police say a high-speed traffic stop in Edgemoor on Wednesday evening led to the discovery of two loaded handguns inside their vehicle.
According to the New Castle County Division of Police, the incident occurred on August 13, 2025, at approximately 6:50 p.m., when detectives from the department’s Active Crime Trend (ACT) Team observed a red Nissan Sentra traveling at a high rate of speed along Governor Printz Boulevard. Police say the driver committed multiple traffic violations before detectives stopped the vehicle in the 1200 block of Prospect Drive.
The driver, identified as Bre’yanah Coleman-Davis, 28, of Wilmington, and passenger Wanya Wray, 29, of Philadelphia, were taken into custody after officers allegedly recovered a loaded Smith & Wesson handgun and a loaded Taurus G3 9mm from inside the car…
