At least 2 dozen cats die in fire at central Pa. animal sanctuary

More than two dozen cats living in a York County home that doubled as a nonprofit sanctuary died in a Tuesday morning fire, officials said.

More than 50 cats were in the single-family brick home when the fire started around 9:45 a.m. on the 1900 block of Glen Rock Road in Springfield Township, according to Glen Rock Hose & Fire Co.
