An elderly woman was seriously injured Thursday evening following a motor vehicle collision in Newark. The crash occurred at approximately 5:56 p.m. at the intersection of Marrows Road and Wyoming Avenue. Emergency crews from Aetna Hose, Hook, & Ladder Company of Newark and New Castle County Paramedics were dispatched to the scene after reports indicated a tourniquet had been applied to one of the victims.
Upon arrival, paramedics located an 87-year-old female who had sustained significant injuries to her extremities. Medical personnel immediately began treatment at the scene, working to stabilize the patient before preparing her for transport.
