NEW CASTLE, DE — Detectives from the New Castle County Division of Police High Risk Officers Team, working in partnership with the ATF Wilmington Field Office, have charged two men following an investigation into alleged straw purchases of firearms and related criminal activity.
According to authorities, the investigation began in August 2025 after detectives developed information regarding suspected straw purchases — cases in which a firearm is bought on behalf of another individual who is unable or prohibited from purchasing one.
Investigators identified Noah Williams, 21, of Elkton, Maryland, as a suspect. Police say Williams purchased multiple firearms and ammunition, some of which are believed to be connected to criminal activity in New Castle County.
