‘Am I worth 0?’ | Smyrna teachers voicing frustration over lower pay

Smyrna School District teachers are voicing frustration that they have the lowest pay in their region, with no raise in sight.

New Smyrna teachers receive roughly $1,000-$2,000 less than their counterparts in southern New Castle County and northern Kent County, and partially as a result of recent failed referendum votes, raises aren’t coming in their future.
