Wilmington, DE – Driver Allegedly Drunk in Tesla Crash at Delaware High School

Wilmington, DE – A Wilmington man has been arrested after an alleged drunk driving crash in the parking lot of St. Georges Technical High School on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Delaware State Police, the crash occurred around 3 p.m. on September 9, 2025, when a School Resource Officer (SRO) was alerted to a Tesla driving erratically in the wrong direction through the school’s parking lot. Investigators say the car, driven by 45-year-old Andrew Naylor of Wilmington, struck three other vehicles before coming to a stop.

Police reported that the Tesla collided with a Volkswagen Jetta driven by a 55-year-old Delaware City woman, a Chevrolet Trax operated by a 42-year-old Middletown man, and a Honda Civic driven by a 45-year-old Townsend man. The Delaware City woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the Middletown man suffered serious injuries. Both were taken to area hospitals.
