DOVER — The Delaware Office of Highway Safety, Delaware State Police, and local law enforcement are partnering to conduct a driving under the influence checkpoint on Sept. 26 in New Castle County.
Driving under the influence, a news release said, can lead to devastating consequences, including serious injuries or even death. The financial impact can be overwhelming, often totaling $10,000 or more in attorney fees, fines, court costs, vehicle towing and repairs, missed work, and higher insurance premiums, the release said.
