N.J. man who drove 112 mph in fatal DWI crash sentenced to prison

A man who admitted downing a few drinks before driving 112 mph and killing another motorist in Salem County was sentenced to nine years in prison on Monday.

Stephen M. Karwowski, 34, pleaded guilty in June to first-degree aggravated manslaughter and fourth-degree assault by auto in the 2021 crash that killed Genita Townsend, 52, of Pennsville.
