Police: Teen broke into home near North East while family slept

NORTH EAST — An 18-year-old man remained jailed Tuesday after he allegedly broke into his neighbor’s home near North East — while the family that lives there was asleep — and tugged on a woman’s pants, before fleeing when she stirred and screamed, according to Cecil County District Court records.

Investigators determined that the suspect — Roberto C. Lopez-Perez — used a ladder to climb through a rear bedroom at the residence in the 400 block of Champlain Road in Lakeside Mobile Home Park at approximately 11:15 p.m. on Saturday, police reported.

That bedroom was occupied by a sleeping 4-year-old child, whose two siblings, ages 2 and 6 months, were asleep elsewhere in the residence, police said. Their parents were sleeping on a living room couch, police added…
